Sunny Breed recently transitioned from the position of Vice President, Training and Affiliate Relations at Executive Consulting for the Nonprofit Sector, Inc., an organization that provides management consultation service to nonprofit organizations throughout Southern California, the United States, and Canada. She is currently assisting the company president with his books on nonprofit leadership.
Sunny served as Tufts University Alumni Association president (2006-08), Tufts Alumni Council member and chair of various committees over time, member of ATA, Regional Leaders Symposium Planning Committee, the Council Campaign for Beyond Boundaries, Reunion Committees, co-founder/steering committee member, Los Angeles Tufts Alliance, and former TAAP interviewer and chair. She has received TUAA’s Distinguished Service Award and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Service Award.
Her extensive experience in nonprofit leadership also includes Chair of the Harbor Area Board of Directors and member of the Corporate Board of Directors and Campaign Cabinet of United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Chair of UWGLA Agencies Services Committee, President, Greater Long Beach Girl Scout Council, and President and Treasurer, Tongass-Alaska Girl Scout Council.
Prior to her work with Executive Consulting For The Nonprofit Sector, Inc., Sunny was Senior Career Counselor at Women’s Focus/Career Focus, Director of Tourism at SouthEast Alaska Airlines and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Tufts.
Sunny earned her B.A. in Sociology in 1966 and a Masters Degree in Education and Counseling in 1972 from Tufts University. Her mother, Beth Ringer Moran, is a 1932 graduate of Jackson College. Her grandfather, Wilfred H. Ringer, graduated from Tufts in 1908 and received an honorary degree in 1938. She resides in Long Beach, California.
