William R. O'Reilly, Jr.

 

 

 

 

Bill O’Reilly is a partner at the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, LLP, an international law firm with offices in twelve cities in the U.S., Europe and Asia.  Bill, who is based in WilmerHale’s Boston office, has a broad background in real estate finance, investment and land use law.  He represents investors, owners, and lenders in real estate investments and developments throughout the U.S., and is counsel to a number of non-profit institutions in New England.  Bill is an elected Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and is past Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group and the Conflicts and Ethics Committee at WilmerHale.

Bill is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Tufts University, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and a member of the Board of Directors of Tufts Hillel.

Bill earned his B.A. summa cum laude with special honors from Tufts, and a J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Georgetown Law Journal.   He is a longtime member of the Tufts University Alumni Association, and served as its President from 2000-2002.  He is a recipient of the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Service Award.  He was elected to the Tufts Board of Trustees in 2004.

Bill and his wife, Elizabeth Ross, are the parents of two sons, Alex and Sam.  Sam is a member of the Tufts Class of 2013.
