E. Michael Fung, A79, A12P
E. Michael “Mike” Fung retired as chairman of JPMorgan Private Bank in Asia and senior country officer of the bank’s Hong Kong branch at the end of 2015. He is currently running his family office, SouthBay Investment Advisors Limited, as chairman and principal. In addition, he is a director of the Board of Shanghai Commercial Bank Limited and also an advisory member of Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital Advisory Council.
In addition to his success in business, Mr. Fung is actively engaged in education and charity causes. He currently serves as advisor and mentor for executive mentoring programs for business associations at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a former trustee of the Northfield Mount Hermon School (2009 – 2018). In 2013 until 2017, Michael was appointed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR and served as member of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) which is a newly appointed think tank advising Hong Kong Government on financial development strategy.
As an active Tufts alumnus, Mr. Fung serves on the Tufts Board of International Advisors, serves through TAAP, and has been active with the Tufts Financial Network. He has been a speaker at Tufts alumni and student events in Hong Kong, New York, Beijing, and on the Tufts campus.
