Samantha Earp, Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Information Officer

Samantha joined Tufts University as Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Information Officer in May 2025. In this role, Samantha oversees university technology services, risk management and strategy, and leads the central Tufts Technology Services group.

Prior to joining Tufts, Samantha served over eight years as Vice President/Chief Information officer at Smith College, where she led a once in a generation project to modernize the college’s IT ecosystem and corresponding partnership practices. Before that, she held multiple academic technology and online learning roles at Harvard University, Duke University, and UNC Charlotte.

Samantha has a B.A. in French from Berea College, and an M.A. in French Linguistics from Indiana University.
