Dr. Al-Tayeb is an owner and a private practitioner at Dentalia Clinics in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  She is a Periodontist with an emphasis towards Implants and Aesthetic Dentistry.  Also, Dr. Al Tayeb is an assistant professor at Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Dentistry in the Periodontal Department.

She received a DDS Bachelor Degree in Dental Medicine and Surgery from King Abdulaziz University in 1994, and Advanced Dental Certificate in Periodontology from Tufts University in 2002, and a Masters of Science from Tufts University in 2004.

Dr. Al-Tayeb serves on the Tufts Dental Board of Advisors and the Dental Campaign Committee.  She is also a member of the Membership Advisory Committee at the American Academy of Periodontology for 2017.

She is active in the Tufts Dental Alumni Association and has participated with the Tufts University Boston Marathon Team in 2010.  She was a guest lecturer in the Tufts Faculty of Dentistry and a visiting Instructor in the Tufts Periodontal Department.  In 2005, she was a guest lecturer at Tufts Dental Alumni Meeting in Athens, Greece.

She has three children (Lana, Hisham and Tan).  She has been participating in triathlons and ironman competitions since 2002 and is the first Arab woman to qualify and complete the ironman world championship in Kona 2018. She is the first Saudi Arabian citizen to complete an ironman (Ironman Canada, 2005) and to qualify to the ironman championships in 2018 and 2019.

 

She was elected to the Board of Trustees on November 5, 2016.
