Janis B. Moriarty, D.M.D. D94 is a general family dentist in Winchester, MA, where she has practiced since completing a general practice residency program at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA in 1995.

She was a volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor in the Emergency Clinic in the Department of Oral Diagnosis at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine from 1996-2008, and a volunteer attending dentist at Berkshire Medical Center from 1995-1997.

Dr. Moriarty received her B.A. in German from the University of Maine in 1989. She was recognized for her distinguished leadership, scholarship and service to the University with induction into the All Maine Women Senior Honor Society.

Active in the Tufts University Dental Alumni Association (TUDAA) throughout her career, she was president in 2004 after serving on the Board since 1996. She returned as Treasurer and Secretary after her presidency, and was honored with a distinguished service award for 20 years of service to TUDAA upon her retirement from the Board.

Dr. Moriarty served on the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Dental Society beginning in 2006 until 2021. She was President from 2019-2020. She was selected as a member of the 2017-2018 Institute for Diversity in Leadership at the American Dental Association (ADA).
She is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American Academy of Dental Science.

Dr. Moriarty is an avid participant in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, supporting research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She has been honored with awards for her leadership and fundraising and is a member of the Captain’s Circle.

Dr. Moriarty has one son, Brendan, and they enjoy traveling, hiking and supporting their favorite sports teams.
