Kim Ryan joined Tufts in 2020 as Vice President of Human Resources, overseeing HR Strategy, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Rewards, and Talent Management. Kim’s team works together with leaders and colleagues throughout the university to support the experience of our faculty and staff, and of our community as a whole.

This work aligns with Kim’s core strengths of leadership engagement, change management, strategic workforce planning, talent management, and organization. Her record of achievement as a leader in Human Resources includes improving talent acquisition capabilities, designing inclusion strategies, creating leadership development programs, and enhancing performance management and succession planning processes.

Prior to joining Tufts, Kim served as Vice President for Human Resources at Campbell Soup Company, where she created and implemented their first global diversity and inclusion strategy. Kim also held HR leadership roles at Pepperidge Farm, a subsidiary of Campbell Soup, including Vice President for Human Resources and Director of Human Resources. Kim has also served as Director of Human Resources at Georgia Pacific.

Kim graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a dual major in marketing and psychology. She also holds numerous professional certifications in Human Resources.
